On April 1, 2013, Ajinomoto Co., Inc. established a regional management and sales company, with Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition Group, Inc. (‘AANG’) as the parent company. Ajinomoto Animal Nutrition (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“AANS”) will handle the Asia-Pacific region, where the growth rate is the world’s highest. AANS is now marketing feed grade amino acids L-Lysine, L-Threonine, L-Tryptophan and L-Valine.
The world’s leading amino acid
L-Lysine Monohydrochloride 98.5% Feed Grade:
L-Lysine is the most important amino acid for monogastric species. It is the first limiting amino acid in corn-soybean meal diets for swine and second limiting, after Methionine in poultry feed. Amino acids for feed now play indispensable roles in improving the efficiency of animal protein production. Nutritionists, now have more flexibility with utilizing non-traditional feed ingredients, which may improve profitability without loss of feed quality. L-Lysine requirement of livestock can be met in a cost-effective manner by reducing the amount of costly, high-protein ingredients that were once fed. L-Lysine produced by Ajinomoto is 100% digestible for all monogastric species resulting in far greater utilization than that of vegetable protein.
L-Threonine 98.5% Feed Grade:
L-Threonine, the second limiting amino acid for swine diet and third for poultry is an indispensable amino acid and the most rapidly depleted essential amino acids after lysine in animals. It facilitates balancing for the optimum dietary amino acid profile (ratio between lysine and threonine) while it enhances the performance of the cardiovascular, digestive, central nervous and immune systems. The use of L-Threonine provides nutritionists a tool that allows them to economically balance dietary protein and meet the amino acid requirements of today’s high-yielding livestock.
L-Tryptophan Feed Grade
Maximizing animal feed intake is challenging especially in young pigs and lactating sows. Corn is naturally low in Tryptophan and corn-soy diets become limiting in Tryptophan. L-Tryptophan 98% Feed Grade is used to essentially supplement feeds to meet the optimum amount of digestible Tryptophan requirements. It helps to improve feed intake and feed efficiency. Tryptophan is involved in other metabolic systems of the animals and can be fed at higher levels to calm animals under stress.
L-Valine Feed Grade: The key to reducing dietary crude protein (level)
L-Valine is an indispensable amino acid for body protein deposition and growth. Deficiency of valine in diet affects not only the utilization of previous dietary limiting amino acids; it may consequently impede animal growth. L-Valine supplementation aims at meeting the nutritional requirement of the animals. The commercial availability of L-Valine has allowed nutritionists to balance the amino acid content of swine and poultry feeds, meet the amino acid requirements of their high-yielding livestock without causing an imbalance in other amino acids, and significantly reduce the nitrogen excretion of their livestock through a reduction in dietary protein. In piglets and broilers, these feeds with increasingly lower protein content are frequently used to limit the occurrence of digestive problems. As L-Lysine, L-Threonine, L-Tryptophan and L-Valine are 100% digestible, its utilization by the animal is far greater than that of protein-bound valine from vegetable proteins.
